We bought the Grange in 2004, pretty much precisely because we had been unable to find such a place to stay in ourselves some years earlier.
We realised that there must be other people like ourselves, looking for a large house or cottage to host a special family gathering.
To make it work as a business we needed somewhere we could open all year round and that meant great indoor facilities, which the Grange of course has, with its huge indoor swimming pool, full size snooker table and other great features.
We moved from London to Ilfracombe in 2009 to focus our time entirely on the house and generally have loved every minute of it.
Whenever we do not have guests we are on-site, usually working in the garden, but always doing our best to make the house more and more perfect.
The alpacas arrived in 2012 and have proved a massive hit, with most of our guests enjoying joining in at feeding time.
In 2016 we made big changes to the house, increasing capacity from 23 to 26, adding more en-suite bathrooms and making major improvements to the pool.
